Vision Films Sets Release Date for ‘Conspiracy of Fear’

Vision Films is set to release the dystopian, future-set thriller Conspiracy of Fear, starring Malcolm McDowell and Steven Bauer, on May 13, 2025 for Transactional VOD across the US and Canada.

Written and directed by Kayla Tabish.  Produced by Sara Gasperov , Nick Liam and Mariietta Volynska, co-produced by Wanda Huizenga, Steven L. Shulman, Troy J.C. Kahle, and Mark Emalfarb, Executive Producer Jan Gray.  Edited by 3-time Emmy®-award winner Dave Eichhorn (Post in The Woods), cinematography by Egor Povolotskiy, and music by composer Dan Beyer.

In a dystopian future, a third world war unleashes an electromagnetic pulse that obliterates digital technology. Amid the chaos, a terrifying virus transforms people into “hybrids,” hunted mercilessly by both the state and shadowy corporations. A fearless journalist dares to challenge a ruthless pharmaceutical giant intent on exploiting public fear to enforce a life-altering drug.

Showcasing its noir-style in unique historic Los Angeles locations including the R Bar in Koreatown and The Dunes Inn on Sunset, this labor of love was screened at a handful of festivals in 2017 before being recut and remastered for its first wide release this year.

Lise Romanoff, CEO/Managing Director of Vision Films says, “Conspiracy of Fear is a look at a potentially dark and dystopian future where the protagonists take on the head of a corrupt big pharma company, brilliantly played by Malcolm McDowell, in a fight for humanity.”

Malcolm McDowell adds, “This is a movie that I am very proud of and I hope you’ll enjoy it. This film is made by a young director, Kayla, who also is the star of the movie so if you don’t like it… then you know who to blame. But I think you will enjoy it. So, grab some popcorn, sit back and enjoy.”

Filmmaker Kayla Tabish shares, “I was inspired to create this film as a contrast to our screen-obsessed lives. While it weaves together various underlying themes, at its core, it’s a journey of questioning a world steeped in deception and the ride that unfolds from that exploration.”

Starring Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, Mozart in the Jungle), Kayla Tabish (The Girl Next Door, Loren Cass), Nick Liam (ER, Wizardream), Steven Bauer (Scarface, Ray Donovan), Kiki McCleary (Westworld) and Edoardo Costa (Live Free Die Hard).
