Vision Films To Release ‘Beneath The Light’ In Time For Halloween

The film was co-written and produced by Dr. Cindy Davis Seng, a psychiatrist at the Cleveland Clinic, and filmed entirely on location in and around Lorain, Ohio and the town’s iconic 108-year-old Lorain Lighthouse on Lake Erie. A local red-carpet premiere launched the film at The Palace in Lorain on September 6 and it has already inspired a murder mystery game and novelization.

An isolated, haunted lighthouse reachable only by boat becomes the battleground for a young man who takes a job repairing it. When the surly owner leaves him alone, his feelings of isolation and uneasiness grow, and he is forced to come to grips with the mistakes of his past or risk losing his sanity forever.

The film stars Zach Tinker (The Quarry, Days of our Lives), John Pyper-Ferguson (Suits), Ana Nicolle Chavez (The Rookie), Kieran Sitawi (The Starling Girl), and Jennifer Ruth (Spotlight).

Lise Romanoff, CEO and Managing Director of Vision Films shares, “This is an intense thriller with a shocking twist that draws you into the central character’s dilemma from the very first scene. What is real and what is imagined? Beneath The Light will keep you guessing until the very end.”

Filmmaker John Baumgartner says, “Cindy and I set out to create a terrifying thriller rooted in horror, but with a core theme of redemption and healing from trauma not typically associated with the genre. We’re especially thrilled with the film’s unexpected twist, which ties the mystery together in a way audiences will find surprising and satisfying.”

Beneath The Light will be available on streaming and cable platforms across the US and Canada followed by DVD at on-line retailers on October 14, 2025. Stay up to date and follow at: IG: @beneaththelightfilm/ and beneaththelight.com
