LG CHANNELS BEGINS ROLLING OUT THEMED POP-UP FAST CHANNELS

LG announced a new slate of exclusive pop-up FAST (Free Ad-Supported TV) channels on LG Channels, in partnership with Lionsgate. Through the end of the year, LG Channels will be the exclusive FAST destination for viewers to find dedicated channels featuring three of Lionsgate’s most iconic film franchises: “The Hunger Games,” “Saw,” and “John Wick.”

The exclusive pop-up FAST channels will be available:

THE HUNGER GAMES(Oct. 1 – Oct.15)

Featuring all five films in the franchise, “The Hunger Games” pop-up gives diehard fans and new viewers alike the opportunity to catch up on the series before “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” hits theaters Nov. 20.

SAW(Oct. 16 – Nov. 4)

For the first time ever, the box office juggernaut franchise will be available as a standalone channel on FAST.

The channel includes eight films to enjoy this spooky season, with all films also available on demand.

JOHN WICK(Dec. 17 – Dec. 31)

LG Channels brings the action this holiday season by packaging the four-film franchise on a dedicated channel.

This is the first time the “John Wick” franchise will be made available as a FAST channel.

Following the success of the previous “The Hunger Games” pop-up channel – which ranked among the Top 10 channels overall on the service during its initial run – LG Channels is bringing back the channel ahead of the theatrical release of the franchise’s latest installment, while giving users even more opportunities to rediscover the iconic franchises they love.

“By turning fan-favorite movies into curated, limited-time viewing events around moments when they’re most relevant – from ‘Saw’ for Halloween to ‘John Wick’ for the holidays – LG Channels is making premium entertainment easy to discover and enjoy for free, while adding even more value to the LG Channels and webOS experience,” says Matthew Durgin, Vice President, Media Entertainment Services North America.

In addition to the exclusive pop-up channels, LG Channels expands its Lionsgate portfolio to include four new-to-LG FAST channels: Pulse, a medical drama channel featuring “Nurse Jackie,” “Saving Hope” and more; Ghosts, a single series channel dedicated to the popular CBS comedy, “Ghosts”; Lionsgate Network, featuring premium series and films, including “Private Eyes” and “La La Land”; and a single-series channel dedicated to “Rookie Blue.”

This collaboration builds on LG Channels’ longstanding partnership with Lionsgate, a global LG Channels partner since 2022, whose content is featured on LG Channels in 13 countries. In the US, LG Channels carries 13 Lionsgate channels.
