Directed by Claydon from his own screenplay the film also stars beloved veteran Hollywoodactor Michael Paré (Streets Of Fire) in what is being hailed as his best role in years.

Vertical have acquired North America and will release the film day and date on digital and select cinemas on September 5th. Helloween centres on charismatic serial killer Carl Cane’s attempt to use the 2016 ‘killer clown’ craze as a front for an anarchistic uprising, from his cell in the Moreton Downspsychiatric hospital. Only his Doctor, Ellen Marks (Sothcott) and investigative journalist John Parker (Paré) can see what is happening and after Cane escapes and begins a new murderous rampage face a race against time to avoid an all-out bloodbath on Halloween.

Helloween was produced by Jonathan Sothcott via rapidly growing British indie Shogun Films and Executive Producers include Chad Hagan, Beau King, Sandy Damm, Charley McDougal and Jamie Mcleod-Ross. Shogun is currently planning a grass roots marketing campaign for the picture – Michael Paré recently appeared at the ‘Mad Monster’ convention in Arizona promoting the picture and Cinexploits is publishing a glossy ‘making of’ book by Bill Cunningham in October, the second under their Shogun Books imprint.
Jonathan Sothcott commented “with Helloween, Shogun has really hit the ground running as a producer of original, high quality commercial genre movies that have an audience all over the world. Expertly written and directed by Claydon and boasting superb performances from an ensemble cast, Helloween is exactly the kind of ambitious, unpretentious horror that viewers seek during spooky season and we can’t wait to unleash it.”

Other Shogun productions set for imminent release are spy thriller Knightfall, serial killer thriller Doctor Plague and horror Harbinger. Rapidly becoming recognised as a powerfulplayer in the British film industry, the busy indie is currently in production on The Secret OfGuy Fawkes, described as a chilling mix of John Carpenter and Dan Brown while tuning up for action/horror Werewolf Hunt which is described as a mix of Dog Soldiers and Predator.
