Directed by Terry Spears, ‘Beauty Grace Malice’ is an upcoming drama feature that stars TaJa Brittaney as Grace and Marlon Ladd as Elijah. The film is produced by 19 Artists Development and will make its debut on Amazon and Google Play.

The writing is top notch, the acting is great and Terry Spears ensures that the emotional core of the film manages to resonate with the audiences. The emotional beats of the film are spaced evenly, allowing the audience to understand and empathise with the protagonist as she struggles to gain control of her life. The film is a story of the rebirth of a woman who has been wronged and how she manages to succeed despite towering odds.
The most astounding thing about Beauty Grace Malice is how it makes us, the audience, fall in love with the character of Grace. The writing and the acting is so great that one cannot help but become enamoured with the lead and root for her to win against people who are despicable. We feel the pain Grace feels and we can’t help but become attached to her. Very few films move the audience in a way that Beauty Grace Malice manages to do and full marks to Spears for succeeding in this regard.
In the acting department, both TaJa Brittaney as Grace and Marlon Ladd as Elijah are perfect in their roles and they bring realism and pain to their respective characters. Marlon Ladd as Elijah is soft spoken and sensitive while TaJa Brittaney as Grace is a resolute mother who has experienced soul crushing pain. The chemistry of the two leads is fantastic as well with both Grace and Elijah playing off of each others’ emotional performances. The rest of the cast manages to turn in fabulous performances as well. In particular, the villainous duo of Grace’s best friend and her former lover mount a significant challenge to Grace’s life. The actors behind these characters portray pitch perfect villains and we, as the audience, cannot help but hate them wholeheartedly.

Terry Spears has made a tremendously moving picture, anchored by terrific performances and a central emotional core that gives the film its authenticity. An emotional gut punch that is moving and poignant, ‘Beauty Grace Malice’ features fantastic acting set amidst the backdrop of a single mother whose whole world is ripped from her. There is so much to like in this film; from its approach to lingering trauma to how it chooses to deal with it. An all round ace effort from everyone involved, Beauty Grace Malice is a fantastic film that needs to be seen by all.
