EXCLUSIVE: Paradestormer Productions, Bright Morning Star Films, Silver Screen Indie and Michael Charest Film Ventures embarks on the 4th lm together a Horror/ Slasher called “Going Postal The Revenge Of The Postman”. This will be the rst lm in the horror franchise of the “Going Postal” series with other lms to follow. “Revenge Of The Postman” as we are told is the origin story of triad of evil (Clive, Legion and Harlot) for the horror/slasher franchise.
What is interesting as the lmmakers have told us is the TN Film Commission has turned down the lm from getting any lm incentive’s support from what the State of Tennessee that is set up for lms that meet the nancial requirements. This grant is to help bring lms to Tennessee and is in place to force spending on state employees hiring locals for cast and crew roles and for TN vendors. This is all due to the lm being to gore related and the sensitive nature of many subject matters. Bright Morning Star Films have stated “Its not that bad of a lm, I was surprised that TN didn’t want to be home to this horror/slasher lm. I mean in the 70’s “Evil Dead” found a home in TN when other states turned them down I guess the times have changed”.
It is strange though that a Film Commissions would be bias for any lm genre’s that have been around since the 50’s. Horror’s date back into the mid 1800’s while the slasher genre got recognition in the 50’s and grew in audience in the 90’s. In this day in age T.V series such as “The Boys”, “Gen V” and lms like “Terri er 2” are making headlines for breaking streaming and record pro ts with similar lming nature’s. So where is the home base going to be? The Mississippi Film Commission welcomed the lm makers with open arms and the lm will be primarily lmed in the Costal Region of MS.
The production partner coming aboard with the lm makers is Rick Moore who will be the teams MS liaison and Mississippi lming partner.
Currently the lmmakers are selecting the nal cast but con rmed cast are Michael Charest (Miracle On Shelby Street), Vincent M. Ward (The Walking Dead, Devilreaux, Haus Of Vicious ), Santiago Cirilo (The Walking Dead, Beast Of The Water, Nashville), Rick Prince (Face O , Lwa: All Saints’ Eve,Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich) Eric Adsit (The Last Chapter, Miracle On Shelby Street), Emma Kotos (Pig Hill, Friends List), Avaryana Rose (Bitter Souls, Not For Sale: Florida) Keshawn Lee Kinslow (The Last Chapter, Child Of Love, Trap City) and Diana Leos.
DP’ing the project. Weiss Night “We got an amazing cast that is still growing, we have been very lucky always getting a dedicated cast that comes with their A-Game each and every time”.
Going Postal is similar to other horror franchises like “Friday The 13th”, “Nightmare On Elm Street” meets the slasher series “Terri er” that made a huge blockbuster success in 2022. This blend of horror meets slasher franchise will also touch on a “John Wicks” style world in future endeavors. Some of the night creatures and gods of this series are heavily in uenced by H.P Lovecraft monster lore. H.P Lovecraft is considered one of the most in uential early horror writers and considered the “Father Of Modern Horror”. Johnny Reeves “I’m a huge Lovecraft fan so when the opportunity came to build a horror/slasher franchise I thought why not put some Lovecraft in uence into it, while also making it our own little nightmare world”.
The “Going Postal” series of lms will start with “Going Postal The Revenge Of The Postman” while the second lm “Going Postal Harlot Rises” is currently in pre funding.
There will be a fund raising campaign set up to help raise additional funds during the lmmaking process. Make sure to keep up with the lmmakers Bright Morning Star Films on their socials for updates, BTS, and the crowd funding campaign. “We haven’t selected a site yet while we are leaning towards Spark And Seed, this was mostly due to the confusion of lming in TN to MS” Bright Morning Star Films.
Production company will be Paradestormer Productions, Producing company Bright Morning Star Films and Michael Charest Film Ventures, in association with Silver Screen Indie. Producers Joan Uselman (Sherwood, Miracle On Shelby Street), Johnny Reeves, Weiss Night, Nick Monroe (Domme, The Last Chapter), Jack Hager (The Last Chapter, Miracle On Shelby Street) and Michael Giancana (Child Of Love, The Last Chapter). There is a comic book series that is being created to co exist with the horror/slasher franchise. The producers will also be traveling to and from many comic cons and anime conventions throughout the US promoting the lm and comic book in mid 2025. Michael Charest “It’s exciting to be acting and executive producing the franchise, I’ve always wanted to be an actor we built a creative story that can expand into multiple lms and I always knew I wanted to take on the role of Clive”
