Lifelong Friendships and Award-Winning Beats — ‘Beat Keepers: The Next Chapter’

In Dallas, a group of women came together with one goal: to share their passion for drumming. What they discovered was far more than music — it was a powerful bond that turned their story into an award-winning film.

When a group of women drummers gathered in Dallas, none of them expected to walk away with lifelong friendships — and a documentary that would win awards around the globe. Beat Keepers: The Next Chapter captures that journey, from the first hesitant beats to the powerful rhythm of a sisterhood that defies expectations.

The film takes viewers behind the scenes of a one-of-a-kind drumming retreat where women from all walks of life — including breast cancer survivors — come together to find strength, heal, and share their love of music.

“Drumming is a source of empowerment for me,” says director Cindy Goldberg. “I wanted to show how discovering your rhythm can build confidence and community.”

Through candid interviews, raw rehearsal footage, and electrifying performances, the documentary highlights the connections formed through music and the unbreakable spirit of women who lift each other up. Unforgettable moments include the entire group rehearsing and performing together in the studio, and then jamming onstage on the final day — a testament to their collective spirit and passion.

This year, Cindy will be exhibiting Beat Keepers: The Next Chapter at the UK Drum Show, connecting with drummers and music enthusiasts alike. The documentary has already won multiple international awards, including Best Documentary at the Couch Film Festival, and continues to make waves on platforms like Reveel and VIMooZ.

Cindy hopes to inspire drummers — and anyone with a passion for music — to embrace their journey, no matter where they are on the path.
