Yuxin “Yoyo” Liu, the renowned Chinese actress, producer, and entrepreneur, is on the brink of making an even bigger impact in the film industry. She has been an active member of the entertainment industry for 17 years and is now looking to expand her career further with the launch of her new Web3 platform, FOOTAGE.

Scheduled to launch in Q2 2023, FOOTAGE will provide indie filmmakers and storytellers with the resources to finance their motion picture projects, as well as NFTs to enhance audience engagement.

Yoyo is mostly popular for her iconic roles in series such as “Eternal Love,” “The Pillow Book,” “Scarlet Heart;” and the movie “Mulan” (2009). She has also won multiple awards for her documentary film, “Wuhan! Wuhan,” which depicts the personal accounts of five people caught up in the first wave of the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown in the city of Wuhan, China.

As if that weren’t enough, Yoyo was a member of the Jury Group at the Asian Film Festival 2021 and an Award Presenter at the Asian Film Festival 2022. She’s also performed multiple times in the CMG Spring Festival Gala, the biggest gala in the Chinese new year. Plus, her film Jamojaya, directed by Rich Brian, recently received a Stars Collective Imagination Award and was invited to attend the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.

Yoyo is also the Co-Founder of StarsCollective, an organization that helps creators explore new ways of interacting with their audiences and creating new distribution channels to sell their movies or shows. Her accomplishments include multiple cinematic productions, mentorship, and talent management.

With her new platform, Yoyo looks forward to empowering other women in Web3 and creating a new platform for indie filmmakers. Yoyo is a true inspiration in the entertainment industry and an example of the power of a woman’s ambition.
