Collective Film Festival London (CFFL) launches their new festival for underrepresented filmmakers this July 18th in Finsbury Park.

Founded by award-winning filmmaker, producer, and full BAFTA member Anthony Vander, CFFL was created to tackle the lack of representation in the film industry. Together with Deputy Director Bethany Taylor-Goh, an award-winning filmmaker, producer, and actor, they are committed to providing a platform for diverse talent, nurturing emerging filmmakers, and creating an environment where underrepresented creators can thrive.

Vander Champions Cinema as a Catalyst for Community and Change

“The film industry is at a crossroads, facing unprecedented challenges. Now, more than ever, production companies, institutions, and organisations must step up to create opportunities that foster connection, resilience, and creative expression…

“With the Collective Film Festival London, we are not just showcasing films—we are building a movement. Our goal is to inspire, empower, and ignite storytellers to break boundaries, challenge the norm, and redefine the future of cinema.”

“A platform for diverse voices”

To support emerging filmmakers, CFFL will host a series of activities including industry masterclasses, filmmaking workshops, and networking events. These initiatives are designed to provide valuable skills, offer insights into the filmmaking process, and demystify the process of ‘breaking into the industry’.

Now Open For Submissions

CFFL is currently accepting submissions for short films (5-20 minutes) across all genres, and fictional feature films (minimum 40 minutes). Filmmakers can submit their work via the festival’s partner, FilmFreeway, with entry fees starting at £10. Submissions will close on June 20th.

For more information on submission guidelines and to submit your film, visit FilmFreeway.
